Dr. David Abrutyn is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine. He completed his fellowship training in California at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine. A graduate of Northwestern University and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. Abrutyn completed his internship and residency at North Shore University―Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Dr. Abrutyn’s area of expertise includes Sports Medicine, with an emphasis on shoulder and knee surgery. His surgical practice focuses on arthroscopic, reconstructive and joint replacement surgery.  Dr. Abrutyn’s expertise is not reserved for athletes alone. People of all ages who suffer from an injury can count on Dr. Abrutyn for their orthopedic care.

Dr. Abrutyn currently serves as the Team Physician for Immaculata High School in Somerville and is a member of the Skylands Conference Medical Advisory Board. He is a Reviewer for the Journal of Arthroscopy and an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the New Jersey Orthopedic Society, the Medical Society of New Jersey and the American Medical Association.
